We are very proud to have such a strong and charismatic team for our Pokemon players that represent the store around global events. They are extremly talented and prove their skills every outing. Below you can get to know the individuals

John Daniel
"I first picked up a trading card at the age of 6 with a yugioh starter. The Pokemon tcg came in around 2007 with an EX Dragon Frontiers starter deck. I still have that Delta Feraligatr somehwere. After playing both games competitively until 2013, I took a break to play MTG for a few years, returning to Pokemon with Ultra Prism. After just missing my first worlds qualification back (2019-2022) my drive to do well in Pokemon has been given a huge boost and having Team Griffins to collaborate with has been amazing."

Jamie Davies
"My name is Jamie I’ve been playing Pokémon for about 7-8 years I started off by doing pack openings on YouTube I started to play the tcg and learn more about playing back when sun and moon was just coming out. I love playing Pokémon as it’s a great way to meet new people and make friends. Since returning back to playing Pokémon it’s been nice getting to meet all our friends again and making new one’s"

Jake Burnyeat
I got into Pokémon TCG by with a magazine from Asda that had pack in before joining a local league to me, My 1st deck was Decidueye/Vileplume, it was so much fun. 2017 I went to my 1st regionals which taught me a lot, especially the time and effort it takes in the grind an invite. So 2018 comes, new season begins and I started good with a league cup win, league challenge wins and multiple league cup top 8s. Thats when I went to Harrogate regionals and got top 16 with my favourite deck Blacephalon gx, Later securing my worlds invite to Washington DC then Berlin. Since joining the GG team I gained alot of friends and knowledge of the meta game

George Beard
"I've been playing the Pokemon TCG since 2013, I had no idea what I was doing for the first 2 years! I started to play competitively at my local games store when Sun & Moon: Guardians Rising was released with Vikavolt/Tapu Bulu GX. I went to my first League Challenge at Worcester in 2019 using Ultra Necrozma GX/Malamar. During covid is when I discovered Griffins Gaming and qualified for the team challenge using Pikachu & Zekrom GX. Now post covid I have been attending most regionals with Team GG and hope with their support to earn my world championship invite in 2024"

Jake Beeston
"I started playing in 2015, and one of my greatest memories of the gamne is winning my final Junior nationals in 2016, I love the community and seeing everyone at events as well as trying to figure out the best deck for each event and adapting as the game continues to grow. Currently I mostly play Lost Box Kyogre."

Luke Fisher
"Started playing competitively in 2016. Got into Pokémon right at the start whether it was the cards or the video games just love the franchise in general. I’ve played other card game but nothing compares to the Pokémon TCG the long games, the comeback potential and the creativity you can do in the deck building it’s the best!"
